Stephanie graduated with a bachelor’s of science in education and majored in integrated early-childhood, elementary, and special education. Stephanie has worked with children her entire career, and inquiry-based learning has always been a pillar of her teaching philosophy.  Stephanie truly believes when children discover the answers to their own questions, the pride, excitement and ownership of that moment is invaluable. After three years of teaching special education, she decided to stay home with her children.

 

After experimenting various messy play experiences with her own children and researching the benefits of sensory play, Stephanie began to search for local playgroups and classes. Knowing how beneficial messy play can be for cooperative learning, she wanted something where her children could interact with other tots, thus creating: Sprouting Senses LLC .

 

Stephanie’s mission and passion is to create an environment that nurtures the child’s natural ability to investigate, question, and discover, all while playing.
